Unseen Truths

I felt you often in the shadows

where my heart can barely grasp

as wanting becomes obsession

as desire but an echoed gasp

I heard your voice in nature

the haunting song of a lake loon

felt your touch in the sun’s rays

your kiss in a harvest moon

tasted your pain in my teardrops

drew on your strength in times of need

welcomed your laughter over sadness

learned compassion over greed

felt grieve of loss, elation of birth

dealt with jealousy and fear

opened our minds, barred our souls

so much we had to share

I have known you like no other

in shadows though we may walk

our love is an unseen truth

we hold the key, time holds the lock…

Longing, lonely, loving. The unseen truths of life and loves circulate with only the certainty of promise, no more. A beautiful poem Felix my friend. Love and peace to you. Jon Michael

Haunting poem, Fee. Almost seems as though the speaker is writing to someone who has passed over. Lovely work. Love and Hugs,
