The Sound of Lonely

I awoke to the sound of lonely
Laid thinking of our love
How could I go on without you
If push ever came to shove

Could I turn cold and callous
Ignore the emptiness inside
I awoke to the sound of lonely
With no place I could hide

Could I learn to love again
I just wouldn’t want to try
I awoke to the sound of lonely
It made me want to cry

I awoke to the sound of lonely
Please don’t let my fear come true
For yes, I’d breathe my last breath
Still saying: “I love you!”

Hi Felix,

Love is a great topic. We can't really explain it; we can't see it; we become very emotional because of it; we can't live long without it; yet we know that it is this incredible invisible force that can take us by storm. Thank you Felix for inspiration to write about this thing called "Love."

Love comes in many shapes and forms, but all have the power to make us cry. Love exposes our hearts and makes us vulnerable to being hurt, but... isn't it better to feel than not? Even if it hurts?
