 Angels and Hope

By: Felix Perry

If a Guardian Angel watching over me

I hope she sees the teardrops in my eye

The ones I save, for walks on rainy days

The ones at night behind closed doors I cry

Hope she sings me home when its my time

My song request would be “Amazing Grace”

If I hear some crappy rap or heavy metal song

I’ll know I’m headed to that other place

I hope she can see past all my painted smiles

To read the weeping heart inside this man

Hope she has full access to my mortal soul

With which, I’ve always done the best can

Yes, sinners and saints once surrounded me

I wonder if my Angel knows I did my best

If I am to be judged I hope she’s beside me

Hope she can put my old scarred soul to rest…

Redemption is always available from our Savior.
The secret is to not be too hard onself, and not too weaken.
Angels are all around us, at all times.
Rest assured.

Such a beautiful poem, Fe. Our angels are always near, there to protect and help us and bring us closer to our God.

Beautifully expressed if angels exist. I'm just trying to keep healthy so the bad doesn't creep in too badly. We all get the share some of that misery.

Yes your angel is still near you as the day you were born,
She is there to anoint the scars and help you to renew your
faith in God, and those celestial beings that want only your
best interest . I believe Angels are true beings of light that
never leave our side dear poet friend. Rest assured they
watch you night and day, love and prayers, Vienna :)

This speaks of a sad, lonely heart longing to find everlasting love and serenity.

Anyone who can write about angels and hope
can't be all bad. I think you're on safe grounds
about that judgment thing. Nice smooth poem.

A beautiful poem that speaks for most of us. Very touching.
