I chose history as a category for this as it seems we don't learn from it as they say we should...a dictator is on the loose and waging war and like Hitler the world talks tough but does nothing...

It’s Not Our Fight By: Felix Perry Yes, send them tanks, send them guns Apply sanctions, don’t buy Russian oil We will sympathize but not empathize After all, that wars away on foreign soil Those are not our precious children dying Our mothers aren’t crying tears at night Our fathers aren’t burying their babies Some say it’s not really our war to fight And NATO declared they’re not our allies They didn’t join the big boys club yesterday After all, Russia’s Putin’s not like Hitler was He’s a pal so let’s just look the other way Throw another sirloin steak on the barbeque Baby go get daddy another ice-cold beer Don’t you worry your pretty little head On what’s really going on way over there Forget what history taught us in the past We are told it’ll never happen here Ironically, we live on the bullies’ border But maybe we don’t have anything to fear, Yea right…

Strong message in this. The more land Putin gains the closer the war will come to you and the harder it will be to stop.

You really nailed it with a strong analysis of the situation built into a poem.

I don't know about Canada, but if the United States makes any real commitment to fighting for Ukraine, the war will escalate to an entirely different level than it is now. We might have few casualties here on this continent, but Europe would suffer greatly. One of the reasons why European countries haven't stepped up, yet.

With European and support from our side of the Atlantic, the Ukrainians are taking back the ground lost early in the war. In spite of the suffering that the Ukrainian people are under, the suffering in Russia may be even greater. We just don't know. The Russian people may be getting tired of Putin and his military henchmen.

The last thing we need is a nuclear war.
