While Humans Sleep

As the house hold settles down for a long nights rest
Little do they realize the work some of us do
They will notice we weren’t chewing on a shoe
We have a reputation to uphold and to be our best

We get on the internet and balance their checking book
Scavenge through the house,
In search of a maybe mouse
In every cranny and nook

But what the humans don’t know
Is that we need more entertainment
We play internet games for spiritual containment
We don’t have time for any TV show

They wonder why we sleep all day
We appear groggy and sleepy all the time
They think we were dipping in their wine
We love our night time play
