Today ends our 50th class reunion in St Johnsbury, Vt. It has been a week of nostaligic memories for me. I sent some poems and articles I 've written ,as well as some old pictures of former class mates for our reunion year book.. I'm sure a grand time was had by all who attended.

When I was young,
I used to roam in
pastures gold and green.
I ran and played
in fertile valleys,
near the bubbling streams.

I found a haven
in the woods,
beneath pine and
evergreens.
I climbed the maple
and oaks that stood
tall in natures scene.

There were no cares
or worries, back in
my childhood days.
I enjoyed the beauty
of nature
The wonders God had made

I played in the waters of
sparkling lakes and in
the cold white snow.
I saw the sun light
the earth each morning,
at night, the moon
cast its golden glow.

All earth was alive,
glorious to see.
I true ly wish I could
go back, to times which
used to be.
I was young and happy,
I was free to roam,
wherever the roads
would lead me,
in Vermont, my childhood home
