A Loving Tribute To “The Mayor of Longboat” Bentley Burns - our next door neighbors Golden Retriever.

A Loving Tribute To “The Mayor of Longboat” This is a tribute to a gallant golden friend. Who loved all of his neighbors, until the very end. He would smile every time, and welcome one and all. He would even entertain you, if you threw a ball. He would take his family for walks twice every day. They loved to get out and follow his nose along the way. This wonderful furry guy had many friends in this place. After all, who could resist his personality and his smiling face. He was respected by all and most knew him by name. When he left this earth, it was indeed a shame. Mayor Bentley was a great mentor, for he stood up straight, proud and tall. Mayor Bentley was not a politician, but he was definitely loved by all. Mayor Bentley was not a politician, but he was definitely loved by all.

Probably even better than most politicians, because most of them don't have one "whiff" of care about their constituants after the elections are over.
Loving, well written tribute to mans best friend.

This Is Lovely Tribute & Also A Large Loss For The Family & Friends.
I Myself Have 3 English Springer Spaniels & Also Know How Much Love & Joy Animals Give, My Boy "Lightening" Chased A Rabbit Yesterday Morning & I Was Mortified That I Nearly Lost Him To This Chase. (Or The Train, Or The Cars....)

This is such a nice tribute to your neighbor's dog. My neighbor's little dog got ran over by a car and the entire family was devastated. I did a poem about it called "They Lost Their Dog". They were really appreciative of it when I gave them a copy. Your poem is a very nice write.
