As you know, an authors work is never done. A book is written and it is a time for celebration. Still, completing the book is only the start of a journey in unchartered waters.

After Your Book is Done Some write to record and others write to inspire. Many write books and some are highly admired. But when the book is done the work has just begun! So don’t hesitate or wait for your book to be found. If you don’t promote you, no one else will make a sound. After you write your book, some folks will be talking about you. Some may be a bit envious and somewhat jealous too! Some may even try to cut your wings! So fly away and move on! Don’t wait for others to sing! Tell all that you know and those that you do not. Send messages about your book to the world, because you want the news to stay fresh and hot! Then when you have reached the end of each day, lay hands on your book and spend time with the Lord and pray. Pray that your book gets in the hands of others that can learn. Pray that it makes a difference to all those concerned. Pray that it will touch lives and change lives for good. Pray that your message is clear and not misunderstood. Pray that all of your work was truly worthwhile. Pray that it touches hearts and makes people smile. Then as you go to rest at the end of every night. Give thanks and praise to God in heaven! In the face of a labour of love, to have your work ridiculed or worse ignored, although apathy seems the crueler fate than hatred, is a bitter pill to swallow that many here have lamented. Therefore, I write to edify and enlighten others, but always myself first. So, I am never disappointed in my readers, for I am always my greatest fan.

Thanks for a thoughtful poem reflecting the hope/angst of many.
