Vinny, a long-time friend from my childhood, went away this year.
He served in Viet Nam, God rest his soul; he was a brave soldier with little fear.
A patriotic man, dedicated husband and a faithful friend.
He loved God, country and life. He had big dreams until the very end.
Life is so fragile. Handle with care.
If you’re not right with The Lord, reach out for His care.
Then Larry disappeared from the earth.
He was a gifted guitar man in our church.
He visited the men in prisons and in the jails.
Larry knew that with The Lord they could not fail.
Larry reached mighty men who were accused of many crimes.
He was a very cheerful giver that would help others all the time.
He gave his testimony to big kids and small.
A kindhearted man; he opened his home to one and all.
Life is fragile. Handle with care.
If you’re not right with The Lord, reach out for His care.
Then a long-time friend from Colorado got up and was gone.
Dean was a Solid Gold friend, a talented singer who always had a song.
He cared and worried about his brother who was not able to walk alone.
He would go out of his way to touch others in person, by pen, or by phone.
Dean was a Super hero. A Superman he was, although he did not fight crime.
Dean would be just there for you as a friend, anywhere, anyplace, or anytime!

Three of my friends are gone now; they all left the earth this year.
But they have all gone to Heaven; living a life without any tears.

One day, God willing, I will be on the other side; I hope to see you all there!

John I am sorry for your loss, may the Lord strengthen you each day, and just know that this poem will be here for generations to come. Others will remember, their life and the impact that they had on your life! May the God of all comfort, comfort you always!
