The 21st century has removed the touch and feel of relationship, replaced it with technology. Our children and relationships have suffered because of it and do not know how to love one another.
Nurturing never stops and to continue the act of it helps us develope even greater love.

I have heard in the last few years the words "I Love You" said in the Robot fashion and my heart, soul, and mind know this type of love.
My hope is that we learn to take the time to grow our relationships when we meet someone we care about and teach our children this action of touch and feeling that are most important!

An enlightening poem with a warning attached. A few years ago, I noticed students at our university leaving classes and pulling out their cell phones as they walked out of the building as though it were an obligation to call someone rather than enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and the beautiful scenery the campus provided. Now it is focusing on texting whenever anyone is waiting anything. Eyes and minds focused on the device and not on anything else going on around. The art of conversation is still not completely dead. Sometimes I can strike up a conversation even with people who are engrossed in reading a book. It's a bit harder to break in on texting or endless casual telephone conversations.

The next phase will be holographic where an individual will have a device that will completely surround them with a scene that is totally unlike the one they are in� A surrogate existence where they will be talking to their own creations and it will be nearly impossible to break into their spells as long as they have them turned on. The next Brave New World that youth will embrace with enthusiasm.

I seriously dislike communication through phones and internet. I like meeting the person face to face to have a great time and getting to know each other. Such event seems to be diminishing when people turn to the internet and their iphones for some sweet words of the moments. That seems all so fake to me. When I was younger, we dated when the guy comes to the door to pick me up, even for going out to watch a movie, or simply to the restaurants to have lunch. There was so much more respects that we had given to each other when communicating face to face.

I don't understand now. People seem to be just satisfied with sweet words typed out in abbreviation forms over the internet or the iphones, the quality of love is really diminishing, and the respect one gives to another as well. One wrong word, and the relationship seems over, and yet none have seen each other face to face yet. It's all so sad and too funny!!!!

I am a waitress and it blows my mind when I go to a table with many people sitting and staring at their I-phones texting. No one talks. Sometimes, it like pulling teeth to get their orders!!!!

My spouse and I just had this conversation yesterday about all the people that we see everywhere these days, who are totally consumed by this technology. And we both agreed that if it all stopped working tomorrow, so many people would now be totally lost, and many wouldn't even want to live anymore. And we both find this extremely sad.
