Being less stressed has so much to do with our FOCUS within our environment. Sometimes we need to make a paradigm shift to get rid of the stress of our past. Definitely dedicated to our dear friend Regis.

We should FOCUS on the here and now

Not what could be or might have been

We should FOCUS on the love we have today

Not on the dreams we had yesterday

Let us not live our lives in a rear-view mirror

For we may miss the beauty on the road ahead

So let us FOCUS on the life that is before us

There is much life to live and so much we can give

My brothers and sisters we can do this

Let us live life to the fullest until the end

My brothers and sisters we can do this

We can live life to the fullest until the end

Let us all help one another to have a better life

Let's FOCUS on the road that is ahead of us...

God Bless You all my dear friends!

I agree, but sometimes it can be comforting to pepper our observations of the now and the future with special memories...
The future happens because of the past...

Your excellent applies to many poets beside Regis who can't seem to leave the past behind and continually relive their misery over losses they had no control over the first place. When one changes one's perspective, looking forward, suddenly hold the world opens up, especially when it comes to finding love and acceptance.

The old song says it well… "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with."

Such wonderful advice. Life is so short and we need to do things to make happiness come into our lives. The road ahead seems very long sometimes, also, but well worth the taking of it along the wayside too.
