It's been over a month since I lost my mother.
Since she passed, I cannot write about any other.
I start to type some words on my keyboard.
All that comes out is my love for a dear mother.
We were so close. We only get one, there will be no other.
A simple gesture; just talking on the phone.
Wanting to reach out, making sure you don't feel all alone
Yes, one day we will all be togeather, I know that's true .
I just cannot stop thinking...
All I want is more time with you.
Love eternally,
Johnnyboy

My mother is still alive, but suffering mostly frustration from being unable to communicate because of her loss of hearing and speaking aphasia from a mini stroke in 2011. The greatest thing that my mother did aside from nurturing me very well, was make all five of us independent of her so that she could regain her independence she lost as a 17-year-old mother of twins.
We have not been close by location, but by communication all the years since I left her nest at 18 and then returned for a brief period of rehabilitation and reflection, twice, to her open arms. I have not seen her since 2011, although I have tried to get people to go with me on the long journey there by van because flying is nearly impossible for me now.
I look at her death as a release from her loss of independence and frustration (her mind is still very good). And I don't expect to see her again in the future after she dies. Her memory is enough.
