This thought came to mind while working my rose beds--As I, myself, got caught up in the thorns.

The Wicked Rose She was nought but a red, red rose The butterflies came to partake of her nector And were caught in her sharp, sharp thorns And soon would die And fall to the ground Became food for the plant And on her face came a rosebud smile 'lil flower

LOL! Beautiful write but you really should be more understanding of that poor rose. She has to live, too. My Mom aways said if you want roses you have to also accept the thorns. That is one beautiful picture.
