that rainy night,
when the soldier
they left behind
was calling,
from no mans land,
for help,
for his mother,
bleeding alone but
refusing to die?
Remember
giving thanks
that it wasn't
you calling
out there
from no mans land,
for a deaf mother
which won't be coming
as you bleed alone
whishing to die?
