Another brick on his walls

Today I wish to talk about the little ones that are forgotten by a world too busy going by...

The child was trapped inside there,
in a house that wasn't a home,
where everyday they were adding
another brick on his walls...

Higer, bigger, forbidden prison
surrounding the unloved boy,
cry and tell mother not to put
another brick on his walls...

Passing by the never open window
Hope tried to smile comfort,
but that couldn't keep the arrival of
another brick on his walls...

Whenever you see a trapped child
on a house that isn't a home, don't
just go by, your silence will add
another brick on his walls...

An excellent poem. Please keep speaking for our children. They deserve love, not prison. I have just posted a poem called ABUSE which is about children and the weak.

Georg, what a touching poem..wish it would hit a nerve with many people who just walk on by such a situation..not wanting to get involved, and if they do not "see or hear" anything themselves they can act like they know nothing is "going on" There always has to be a "someone or somebody" to "hear" their pleas for help..Glad to know that you are one of the "caring ones" Such a great poem..you always have a "way with words", Georg

The way the bricks lay on this wall is a wonderful example of the trouble mind of a child. Still a prison it makes yet you can see part of the real world there just beyond your reach. Wonderful words and example. Even a smile shown to the child on the other side will give them much hope. Love this. Lady J
