Thou that have a loving mother...count your blessings.
Thou that mother left a little light so you won't sleep in darkness...count your blessings.
Thou that didn't grew up where souls get frozen by the absence of motherly warmth...count your blessings.
Thou that had hadn't the same as above...stop cursing.

Poem Artwork

"because nobody is here,
don't knock on this door,
we are sorry you came,
you are a burden my boy..."

"you came unwanted,
we didn't promised love,
a "thing" we never had,
a "thing" we give not..."

"stop crying, go to sleep,
nobody cares my boy,
you came uninvited,
you are on your own..."

"tomorrow you will ask,
your pain, what that's for?
it is the price you will pay
because you were born..."

Sing it until the child stops crying or go away.
I never cried, I just went.

Blessed are those that came from that environment ~ and can advocate for beauty, Humanity, Justice and Friendship.

This composition strikes social responsibility, and ponders on the cruelty of Mankind... "Dark Lullaby" is a mirror to millions.

In respect and admiration,

Oh Georg, such a moving write!
There is nothing sadder than an unwanted, unloved child; there is nothing more bone-chilling than parents who are unable/unwilling to love the life they have created.
As a longterm advocate of family planning & global population control, I appreciate every word scribed herein.
Peace be with you, Poet,
Carolyn

Georg, such a sad poem with a ring of truth. So many children born to parents who are selfish and uncaring. A terrible way to grow up, unwanted, unloved, unnoticed.

Be safe,
Karen

Oh what a sad and lonely write...a harsh look at what is reality for many. Such a sad event that is too often true for many children in our society today! You've captured this sad situation well within the lines of your poem...

Oh Georg, my heart cries for the little boy down inside, for he is still there, and he still needs.

A sad view of the missed love from one to another and more so when the parents are blame for this loss of love, sadly this is found across our land....across the globe....

very nice work, Georg......

Not everyone who becomes a parent has what it takes to be one, Georg and I am sorry that you were one of the ones who was brought into this situation. For most of us it was our fathers who vanished or made us feel like we were more of a burden than a joy. Healing will come when we forgive them their inability to love us and find a way to understand how they came to that place. If we carry that pain with us, if we believe we are as insignificant as they made us feel, we remain a prisoner of their personal war. We are who we are, because of or despite our parents. We are a strong force and we must find our place and a way to forgive them the wrong that they dealt us, if we are ever going to find happiness in this lifetime.

Take care,

Sherry

I think this is very sad but it is
A terrible reality and it doesn't
Mater how old the child is it hurts deeply
and stays with you for the rest of
your life this is a subject I have
Live through telling your child
That she or he was not ever wanted
And still wish you dint have this child is
The pain that never stops hurting that child!!
Excellent a very sad message withing this write!!
Love And Peace to you Always..Morning Star

Is an awful thing to be rejected like that. Reminds of the quote

"Children begin by loving their parents; after a time they judge them; rarely, if ever, do they forgive them."

I think that is the worse thing that any parent can tell their child when they are young that they weren't wanted or planned in their life. Very sad tale. Lady J

Georg,

Woe to any that harm a child...even Jesus said, "But whosoever offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone be hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depths of the sea." Too much in the news about parents abusing their kids, even outright killing them, for S T U P I D reasons ('he cried too much and wouldn't stop,' etc, etc, etc); you don't even want to know my punishment for sexual predatures that prey on children...this one is shattering; shows how low we've descended. Well done, my (((friend))), hard to read, but needs to be shouted from the rooftops: NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Those souls will languish in a place devoid of any love for eternity it they did not change their ways. Those that do harm to my little ones will never rest in my arms and it would be better if they had never been born.
