Mothers should be the ones that fend her child from the monsters, not to be one herself.
If I could, I would use a steel brush to sweep all "those" memories from my brain.
Mother most be in the kitchen, baking,
there is a smell of burning fires;
she doesn’t use flour, but shadows,
which she takes from the heart of liars,
to make the most darkest pretzel when
twisting my life with so many sorrows.
Afraid the child was to go inside the hose,
With silent screams in its cellar chambers,
more like a fears pit of a snake’s burrow;
condemned to be the eternal wanderer
in search of a merciful tender moment
the child would only remember…the blows.
This twisted me up and spit me out!
I can so relate to this heartening pain, from a mom's love (so called)
I'm there with ya' in thought Georg, hugging you all the while!

Both my mother and my father created a blackened twisted pretzel. And my mother still plays with my soul.
I can relate, both you, SC, and I had the same situation only, I didn't know my mother was the monster until my father passed on to his reward.
Heart wrenching and makes me want a group hug.

Wow! What a sad and painful write my friend...so many today have so much heartache from their yesterdays, sad but becoming more and more of a reality. Powerful offering and well written, imagery is outstanding!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
hugs for your pain...my mom enjoyed using a hard brush for bath time...ouchy...give your inner child some self love and justify her existance as karma...its easier to move through it...

Sad how we can't find good memories. I still think I must have had one but they just don't come up. LadyJ
"...twisting my life with so many sorrows..." such a heartbreaking line. I'm sorry you had a dark childhood. Keep writing the pain; it does help...you share private hells no one should have had to endure. Perhaps your words can aid healing in others who have gone through the very same thing, a lifesaver, of sorts.
Georg, my sister just published a book called, The Devils Residence, which was a nightmare of our upbringing, I believe back many years ago before the law steped in many children suffered from some form of abuse caused my a parent, but I do believe it made our family stronger, better people because of it, although the hurt and pain stays with us forever as a reminder that we will never be like that. Thank you for sharing.

I think shitty parents help make us better adults in some ways, but they impeed our growth in many others. As kids we probably figured it to be normal behaivior. But then again; whats normal behaivior?
A dark and sad Write Georg
I often fell asleep sobbing with
fresh welts on my back

"Wondering why?"
Peace be with you Brother
Victims can learn how not to love(sic). Stay strong Georg and know that you now control the former pretzel. I believe in sterialization of the mentally ill who would abuse children. Problem is who can be trusted to make those decisions. PLB&G for caring and sharing. So sad this write. <Mikii>
