Our Heart & The Thorn

Oh! that first and never corresponded love, the chrush, the panic, the sadness, the goodbye never said.

A panicky little bird tried to hide
among white roses from a hawk
coming down from the skies
falling from the center of the sun.

The little bird wasn’t to be a prey
for those sharpened chasing claws,
but will get its little heart pierced
by the protective rose’s thorn.

The hiding feathers of a dying bird,
with a white rose turning red below,
its bleeding chest, like a postcard
of our so unforgettable...first love.

…that’s, if you ever had one…

Georg, this is such a lovely and sensitvie write thinking about that first love from so long ago. Very vivid, it broke my heart just reading it.....
