Today love is treated like Monopoly money, many are enslaved of own will, others believe that the chains are so strong that they will never be free, but, just a few wish from life just for them a last hoorah without the guilt, just a well deserved hug and that kiss...the one dreamed for and never gotten.
Like a dead little bird in the palm of my hand
one day I too up a broken heart from the ground
that someone had discarded maybe with contempt
when he or she had no use for it, not anymore,
and I asked that little heart why it had to go and die
when it could had live inside one that wasn’t broke.

if only had found it sooner, when it was beating,
and could feel that strange feeling called love,
but now it rest on the palm of my trembling hand,
at last loved by someone, and yet getting so cold…

But, you know, if we could only see them, there are a LOT of dead little broken hearts out there among the falling leaves. I wish we could revive them all, warm them again ...
A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
