The child has all fingertips touching the top of his thumb, like the Italian gesture of "che cosa?" (what?) which was a red-herring, because as you see in this illustration, it is Hamlet talking to the skull of Yorik. Meaning today's state of things.

7 SYLLABLES=The seven Deadly Sins (Mortal) which in acrostic order will say "GAEA EPS" or Mother Earth Encapsulated, and that are connected to the 5 above words by how they practice it.
