Dear Rose Rideout wrote "Love and Life" a blessed poem from happy memories.
I told her that it inspired me to write the revers of the happy coin, because a few of us need to shake from us all those little demons too stubborn to leave us in peace.
The illustration "Image of a sad man" is a oil painting by the author.
CHILDREN
Three boys and a girl.
Lost their innocence early, when
dreams turned into nightmares.
A old woman and three old men.
PARENTS
Indifferent father, too busy,
and too cold by any standards then,
leaving the children all alone with
the mother of all cruelties hen.
GRANDPARENTS
Perhaps the only warmth thing
one grandmother took with her
to assure the existence of love
to four youngsters nonbelievers.
HOME
Vaguely remembered, dungeons?
Home Sweet Home it was never,
can’t beat children with lumps of sugar
but you can give them welts with leather.
EXPERIENCE
Life’s lessons of the wrong kind.
Life’s comforts, not for the accusers.
Life’s love, an unending search.
Never unconditionally committed,
and never acceptance by the abused.
Very revealing and sad. But the past is over and one need only to take the lessons and look forward, never giving up on life because not all people are bad, and some are really blessings in disguise (ahem!).
Wow, that is some drawing, man of many talents huh? As we each grow into adulthood, we must also learn how to shake off the past to build on a new future, wise words....

Loving Grandmas yes, that's what I remember, when she passed I looked for love other places, sad so many millions worse than that even today, many have no one to love, so sad! Jasmin Horst
This is some powerful lessons that we can relate to. It can shape our souls into very powerful heroes who know where love ultimately flows. Perhaps even by helping others. Enjoyed
Such a heart breaking write, Georg...I worked with a Child Welfare team for several years, and we were able to save several children.
peace and love, Carole~
I hope this was not your upbringing George and if it was I am glad that somewhere you found the fortitude and courage to rise above it as an adult to become the man you are today. You are right though there were and still are many homes that are like this sad as it may be...it is reality.

Well written...Georg, you paint? How lovely! An artist, romantic, and handsome! How blessed are you. From someone in living the nightmare (older woman) LOL
Georg I know so many innocent children don't live the life they so deserve. If I had my way I would take every child who has no one to love them and care for them but my husband tells me it impossible so I will have to keep praying. It tears my heart out to know so many have to live through nightmares with no where to turn. With tears I read your words. Thank you for sharing.
