To this day so full of challenges and work
To the sore muscles and tired feet
To the lists piling up, of work to do
To the need to organize non-existent time
I dedicate this day with my best prayers
For today I move to my new home
A yard that simply cries to feel a child run
And craving the shouts of “your it!”
A little home so cozy and welcoming
That even the cat seems content.
A garage large enough to shelter two cars
from the ravages of winter snow.
So is all worth the treks with heavy loads
Worth the thousand papers to be signed
And the money to be paid.
Worth it for the family around me
And worth it for my own serenity
