Feeling playful and silly, I whipped up this little ditty, for old and new friends, while having my Cafe Latte:
"Be of good cheer. If I don't hear from you, you'll always be missed!"

Good morning to me.
I'm speaking for you.

I hope you're having a good morning too.

I know for you it's still early, really,
It's too late too light but not too nearly
to turn out the light turn your back on the night
this fine morning.

I sit here and sigh,
await your warm greeting,
your welcome reply,
and wonder why
I've not from you heard yet
fine Internet friend most dear,
so near so far, in Cyberspace, from here.

How are things over there where you are?
Surely you miss me?
What would you be so busily doing
you haven't made time to send me your greeting?
Hurry back to me soon, you hear!
I'm eagerly waiting to hear you near.

You wouldn't want to forget me?
Could you?
I fear…
