A transcendent soul
Gathering inspiration
From life and people

Unfurling vision,
And flying above evil,
To embrace goodness
And offer (in honesty)
Poetry’s rarest blossoms

An empowered quill
Seeking deep rivers of thought,
Connecting heartbeats
With exceptional phrases
Born in livings wondrous flame

One heart rejoicing
In celebration of life,
Translating the works
Of the Great Russian writer
Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Shared to enlighten;

Such a beautiful write, Richard! I've loved what I've read from Liana so far. You celebrate her in a way that lets us also know her more. The third to the last verse is awesome. I'm small-town, so I actually said Yee-haw aloud after that verse. Have a happy Thanksgiving. I know this year has not been easy. Love and Hugs,

Dostoyevsky. The day I picked up Crime and Punishment was the day I realized that all literature wasn't Perry Mason or The Hardy Boys. I went through a number of the Russian giants and then branched out to the existentialists who had me in their grip for a while until I wised up. Ah, but this is about the words from Russia, a moody bunch to be sure, but moodiness inspires greatness . . . jpb
