A [final] and Despairing Blueprint

by Richard Lloyd Cederberg — Read all 280 poems by Richard Lloyd Cederberg

They say it’s the last battle between light and darkness. Violent demonic puppets, resolving to usher in the apocalypse with a 7th century interpretation of Islamic law; euphoric on ‘Captagon’, ensnared in spiritual darkness, disseminating brutality and the murder of infidels and innocents, as the passkey to their fancied heaven. A disgraceful feral tribe who hate everything unlike them. An aberrant clan drawn along by a raging spiritual hatred that empowers them. For those who understand. Look up! Daniel’s 70th Week is looming. Born of cogitations and conversations about the recent attacks. Looking at the world and self in one mirror. Poetic-prose

SPEAKING PERSONALLY…
.
I can’t imagine
what they envision,
no matter how hard I try,
because I’ve never felt what
motivates these insane types.
I don’t hear what they hear,
I don’t feel what they feel,
I am not compelled
by their spites
their dreams
their misery
or quirks,
all I feel
is the weight
of their brutality,
their un-forgiveness,
their hard-heartedness,
and it’s become a burden;
their miserable choices,
their hatred of all
unlike them,
their fears,
their unfitness to
understand what they aren’t
without forming convoluted opinions
and wanting to destroy indiscriminately…

SO IT’S COME TO THIS…

a [final] and
despairing blueprint
to reconstruct what human
purpose is… to isolate and embroil
as many as possible in deceptions
maze of pathological imaginings,
a one-world government,
a one-world religion,
a global mesmerist
SOON COMING
false savior
(not Obama), the
2nd Antiochus Epiphanes
claiming to be a peacemaker
on the vanguard of humanity’s
long-awaited higher-plane. Being a
vicious deceitful human, cloaked in false-glory,
‘the little horn’, ‘the willful king’, ‘the son of perdition’,
(as scripture describes him), one man being dead-set
on deluding the masses to accept what supreme
arrogance fancies itself to be, and not
just the shadows
its shadows
cast upon shadows
.
GREAT TURMOIL LOOMS …
.
as humanity races
impotently towards the
approaching global-paradigm,
fierceness unprecedented,
with all discontent
and Arcanum to
those of
similar ilk,
plotting revenge
against what is easily
influenced or controlled;
and now, more than ever, eye see
death drawing near for many millions…

AND WHAT CAN WE UNDERSTAND OF IT…

That far too many of the human-family
remained arrogant self-centered
manipulators
profaners
connivers
haters
users
foolish
also-rans
pitiful songs
tried-their-best
empty geodes despite
all on-going efforts to liken
themselves to that ghostly slick-image
they once saw reflected in the witch’s mirror?
.
PERSONALLY SPEAKING...
.
I knew a
man who once,
with vernal bravado, hit
life head-on and undeterred.
An aging warrior now
with all edges fading,
an honest reflection of
declining vigor pining for his
eternal home, deeply concerned for
his children, and his children’s children,
mystified at how fast
Earth is declining,
(with days numbered)
and all influence lessening;
confident that any accomplishments
will be plunged into the fervencies of change,
(because there is little anyone can do now to surmount
the challenges of a ragingly corrupt world-system) …
Being one man Truth touched and changed,
one man freed from arrogant striving,
from poetic-enchantments,
from the kind of substance-abuse
that disseminates delusional thinking,
from the narcotic of false-praise
and all tit-for-tat rivalries,
a grateful grandfather
a blessed husband
who found
true -love happily, and artistic
success, but a man who still (strangely)
suffers with broken-dreams, he gave his best for,
that all died more exquisitely than they lived…
.
Still… the heart is confident despite all wars that rage....

THE ONLY THING DESPAIRING TO ME IS THAT...'HE' HASN'T COME YET. I KNOW I SHOULDN'T FEEL THIS WAY AS WE CANNOT CHANGE WHAT GOD HAS SET IN PLACE TO MATERIALIZE ...WHEN THE TIME HAS COME. BUT YOU AND I KNOW...NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE. HIS WORDS TELLS US...THERE WILL BE CRIES OF PEACE...! PEACE! BUT...THERE WILL BE NONE AS THE HEARTS OF HUMANITY REFUSES TO HUMBLE ITSELF AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. I CAN ONLY HOPE AND PRAY THAT HE WILL STRENGTHEN ME TO KEEP THE FAITH...I DON'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THOSE 1000 YEARS, YOU KNOW? I AM PRAYING AND HOLDING ON! AND LIKE ...THE MAN YOU SPEAK OF(SMILE)...I AM CONFIDENT DESPITE THE WARS! AS ALWAYS, OUR POETIC HERALD, VERY INSPRING AND ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSING AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

realistic, yet hopeful poem solidly anchored in God's own nature, and in the absolute certainty of the final fulfillment of His eternal purpose. Savored every word, basked in the expressed truths, which are obviously very personally felt! Enjoyed this one Richard! Liked the poems rhythm and its shape...an awesome mighty read!

ushers the soul to contemplate the ingredients in the ever simmering soup of planetary skulduggery as well as pondering the spices of persona/perspective, to enhance the texture of the stew ... all to prevent the poison of false prophecy and to achieve success in artful endeavor and enlightened taste ...

This battle between light and darkness cannot end so long as Earth, or such other planets as we colonize keep revolving into and away from their sun-source. No battle, actually, it is so because that is the only way we can exist, between those extremes, usually quite far from them, equatorial and at ease. So well done, this piece. Thank you, RLC.

A very moving and complex poem, not unlike humanity, itself. You rail briefly on the terrorist cult now in the limelight of history. This cult is not unlike many others that somehow indoctrinate thinking people into thoughtless robots, generally doing the will of puppet masters. I thought of Charles Manson and his power over his followers. There are also many others too numerous to mention.

When you mentioned the antichrist, I thought of one of the presidential candidates, most popular and playing to the fears of so many, while claiming to conquer the rest of the world to a mindset of superiority… The very trap of concern.

I'm glad that you ended in a positive tone, because our memory of events grows dim with time. The first 15 years of the 20th century can be compared with the first 15 of the 21st. At that time, the rich were getting fabulously richer from immigrants that were despised coming from Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. A great war had emerged in Europe that a peaceful president was trying to avoid. There was discontent among the electorate (women were adamant to get the vote) and the impoverished were not taken care of except by their families.

From my viewpoint, times are much better now, and the chances of world war or totalitarianism are greatly reduced, especially with global communications and incident reporting of atrocities from citizen journalists everywhere.

Thank you so much for your thoughts.

We know an epic poem when we read one. It concerns a serious subject containing details of events and deeds that are significant to a culture. Few poets can venture into the realm of this genre. Classical epic recounts a journey, either physical or mental, or both. Epics also tend to highlight cultural norms and define or call into question cultural values, particularly as they pertain to heroism or a clashing of values. Your magnificent poem has all these elements woven together skillfully and with heart wrenching impact. But you do not despair, rather you embrace and elevate our final challenge, to die more exquisitely than we lived. Like others, I am deeply moved by your words.

An unapologetic treatise for sanity, that does more than call it as it is, but a thread line of Yin and Yang weaving its way into those that would deny, and helping to nurture strength for those that accept the responsibility that we are indeed all one struggling to acquire identity in the delusional world of many. Even the on-page structure of this piece lends itself both to the give and take of reason and critical thinking, as well as aligning itself the the transparent roar of the picture used. Strong. Forceful. Inspired. Many thanks for this, Richard. I hope it gets many reads and does its share in persuading that answers to problems might make the twitter page with 140 characters, but the hard questions will always require a willingness to read lengthy dissertations of truth such as this to truly understand the complexity of both the social and political interrogatories.

Wow! well done Richard. Powerful, profound, sad...yet, hope and love remains. We must love even more, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"; and remain ever hopeful and believing in God's faithfulness.
