A wise man (who
Uses discretion) will never
Administrate another’s freewill,
Or wag a finger when another’s
Unwiseness creates harmful context;
Nor will he judge when another’s desire for
Wholeness is overshadowed by an
Inability to achieve it…
.
An observing man
Sees in diverse others what he
Never (by choice) became......the
Foolish obsession some have to stride
The meridian where light casts shadows
On an artfully sculpted religious prison…
.
NOT NOW – NOT EVER
Will he mention the crooked paths
Haughtiness prescribes, or those bitterly
Wayward things some adorn their lives with…
.
You should know,
In all honesty,
It’s what I see in many
At first – what I don’t like – so
I am flawed, too, by my choices,
Just like you, and at times cannot maneuver
Beyond my prideful self-interest to deal with
All the discontentment still festering in me
About my seasons of madness …
.
I’ll admit,
From experience,
That making bad choices can force
Anyone into a time of isolation, and that
Harboring the wounds can be like a wet cloak,
(heavy and smothering) but that these failings do not
Represent who we are, they only remind us that some of
What remains in us is fallow and incomplete…
.
Now… pick yourself up,
Get clean, and start again…
