beyond the dying forest
the vague sound of
a distant flute
drifts within a lingering mist
.
this place of faith
you’re told,
where the heart departs
from all of life’s struggles
into a blessed contentment
.
but how can this be
the doubters ask
the voice you hear you cannot see
you cannot touch the sound you hear
so soft and clear and hearteningly
.
a mind deprived of
those mystery’s yet unseen
foregoes the wisdom
often spoken in whispers
to those ears attuned to hear….
.
all history repeats,
naught is new under the sun,
all history repeats,
all have sinned and fallen short,
there is none righteous, (not one)
.
it’s true - we’ll all die,
some think with no place to go,
but some convinced that
beyond the dying forest
a believer’s life begins….
.
the morning glory opens
after being touched by
slivers of warming sunlight
.
reaching for what is,
for what is hoped for,
for the unseen,
without end, waiting to
taste the one word of always….
.
beggars in
shadowy rags seek
to inhale the freshness
of gardenia blossoms, where
life is lighter than a cloudless heaven,
and where a believers hope lingers
yet in the scent of pine…..

Between the Cracks - A Monumental Journey Series

This is an inspirational, mystical poem that touched deeply into my very spirit and bought tears to my eyes. Powerful work, Richard, beautifully penned and alive with faith.
when meditating…where we can just ‘be’..
A place of trust and freedom, where the
whispers of the divine are absorbed and
all is gradually revealed…A magical place
where all is possible to those who believe…
for all eternity…and..
‘In the scent of Pine’…
Gentle, uplifting words…
