Alone she walks
in bluebell woods, her
tranquil heart enchanted,
‘neath whispering trees
her hearts been freed
from all that hate remanded
.
How is it that nature
reveals so much, she marvels,
here, on a brumous morn,
these budding blooms,
and airs soft scent,
lifting me from my sorrows
into this happiness enfolding me….
.
A birth so rare
another day
to shed those lies untrue
‘neath tender leaves
her mind at ease
a wearied heart renewed
.
How can it be, that nature
gives so much, she wonders,
here, surrounded by these joys
of creation, that ask naught of me,
that take nothing from me,
that lift me from my penuries
into a happiness far beyond me….
.
Today she sings
in bluebell woods, her
grateful heart contented,
‘neath whispering trees
her hearts been freed
from all that hate suspended….

THE PORTRAYAL SERIES: Poetiprose insights concerning my immediate family and old friends, alive or dead. This series will also address certain of the actors, artists, musicians, and writers I worked with in college, or professionally, that were influential (in one way or another) in shaping the man I am today. For Michele Elizabeth Cederberg.
A NEW RACE OF HuMANS...
Yes, nature does provide a calm place "'neath whispering trees" and savoring "air's soft scent." A place where healing can take place as you have so elegantly written.
