Each dawn spills
new light on
an unwritten page,
a daily invitation to write anew
the words some never stop writing,
the melodies some never stop singing,
the hope some continue to nourish
with disciplined, faithful living,
persevering in well-doing,
in acting justly, in loving and showing
mercy, and walking humbly with our Creator…
.
But pressing forward is
rarely a straight path, more
a mosaic of moments unfolding
in the shifting shadows of uncertainty,
spirals of substance and silhouette
where questions drift like mist,
and then vanish before we
can hold them,
where each step
is a new start, where
colors meet and shadows merge, where
thoughts brood in the air like specks of dust,
and where even the tiniest glimmer of light
can help guide us moving forward
.
And though
we are tested
severely at times,
we still move forward
in shades of loving grace,
each moment a weaving together
of threads, or a slow braiding of
strands forming the tapestry
of whom we will be –
.
And always,
.
the heart keeps its ledger of moments,
our mind a library of joys and sorrows,
each soul an archive of memories,
a life’s pages pressed with
tearful loss
and laughter,
a steady pulse
within our steps
where moving on is
not a leap, but a cadence,
a measured daily rhythm that
carries us forward a stride at a time
towards a future that is never fully seen….

“For now, we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” 1st Corinthians 13:12
A NEW RACE of HUMANS
tearful loss
and laughter,
a steady pulse
within our steps
where moving on is
not a leap, but a cadence,
a measured daily rhythm that
carries us forward a stride at a time
towards a future that is never fully seen….
This is truly a portrayal of poet that has lived the walk, run the path, and if I dare say, negotiated the intolerant rails of progress that, like you say: But pressing forward is
rarely a straight path, more
a mosaic of moments unfolding
in the shifting shadows of uncertainty,
My thanks for this posting. We can never get too much of this vibration of truth and integrity.
God bless you.
I am going to print it with you as author and hang it up.
