Life is funny and the older you get the funnier it gets. One day you find yourself looking backward more than forward. You find yourself on roads that you had not meant to go. One day you find that your life has all but been lived. Prayer and faith is what you live for. Jesus Christ is the provider of all we need.
Oh Dear Lord how did I end up here.
I have spent a who life climbing up but I fear
That I at some point must have missed being at the top
Because suddenly I am careening down the hill and cannot stop.
Oh Dear Lord please help me put on the breaks.
I fear that while I was climbing up I made some mistakes.
The biggest one of all is closing my eyes as I struggled to rise.
Oh, Dear Lord when I opened them again I was met with a surprise.
Oh Dear Lord the trip down the other side is wearing out my shoes.
I fear this is not the prize I did chose.
I had planned to reach for your hand at the top
And be lifted to Heaven with you, instead I am over the hill and cannot stop.
I pray that where ever this road leads me too
I will still be within sight of Heaven and you.
I pray that you know why I am plummeting downward.
I pray that your gracious love will save me, my Lord.
Just remember you're never alone! God is faithful and always near! Well written and truthful; funny thing is we realize that we can laugh at ourselves and know, without a shadow of doubt the agape love sustaining us beyond what we deserve.
