Absolutely true and an excellent write too. You show clearly just how selfish, blind, and immature many of us are. We are just great big amoebae-like creatures who want, want, want it all, to consume it all, but the question is, how do we stop, refocus and begin again?
Personally, I don't thing human nature will allow it. We'll always want the the biggest cookie off the plate.

Boy, I wish I had the presence of mind to write this poem! So TRUE, it should be published in every local paper! Anyway, my sentiments exactly. Even someone on a "fixed income" like me had a small investment savings that I recently had to take (to pay upcoming property taxes) 'less its "market value" should just shrink away over the coming months.
