Frustration Again

Why is it so hard to learn, earn, yearn?
While time waits for no one,
and marches on.

Just when you've got the solution,
the fates have their way and turn.

It's always the easy solution,
that makes the heart burn, burn.

It fills the days with useless ways,
and makes the stomach churn.

Oh when, when will you ever learn,
that the easy road will take a turn.

And you can't buy your way out,
so you scream and shout,
but no one hears your agony.

Suffering in silence, you slouch,
exhale, and let it out -- empty.

The tray needs filling,
but it's out of reach.

You cannot learn,
if you cannot teach.

And time marches on,
until none is left.

I thought I was al settled but good in this effic apt. Now they are going to redo the efficiencies in the bldg and tear things up and mess it up. But they say it is for the better. I only hope so, cause it disturbed me to no end that I will have to move out while they remodel my place. Oh well, go withthe flow they do say.

Yah ... I agree.
Hard times don't produce character,
Hard times reveal character,
And you have oodles of it
Blessings ...

Hello Ronald,

I feel your frustration but I like what you say: "You cannot teach if you cannot learn." One thing I learned, frustration upsets me and drains my energy, so I just let it go. Keep cool, technology has its limitations...but this is still a very nice poem.

I relate well to this sense of frustration with what seems like a joke played upon us ,but I guess it is meant to strengthen us for the journey for only the strong of will can survive while remaining just!Excellent poem!

Ron, what a marvelous poem -- you express what all of us encounter in our lives -- the frustration, the lack of time, the waste of time forced upon us at times -- HELP! -- you have said what I could never really express with such feeling and accuracy -- another excellent poem from a seriously talented writer -- joy, peace, love and the hope for some relaxation my dear friend -- Jon Michael

This should be my theme poem lately - I can relate to it. And what I resent is the time it consumes. Some can throw money at the problem but even that doesn't always solve it. I like that you let us fill in some of the details in your personal poems. We can put in our own "frustrations"(!)

Lots to get frustrated about. No easy solutions that last. No easy street; merely a myth. We are left with the cold rigid steel of reality, often. Wish that it were not so. Excellent poem. Hugs, J'nia
