It's in the water,
they always say.

But who would have thought,
it would come so easy,
it would come this way.

Armageddon.

We all knew the water was bad,
science would save us;
it's all we had.

But science can go wrong,
like the flip of a switch.

Our life was heaven,
and now it's a bitch.

Water was our lifeblood,
our source, our tool.

We thought it would last forever,
but science made us a fool.

With no time left,
we huddle and pray.

But water is thicker than blood,
to our last day.

Hi Ron!
When we (Michele and me) drive up to Oregon we drive along, and over, the California aquaduct quite often. The possibility of polluting that seems wide open to me. 70% plus of SoCals water comes from up around Sacramento. One freaking earthquake, 7.0, would destroy the flow south. This society is so delicately balanced!
A sobering poem.
Hope all is well!
Blessings to you brother ...

Fluoride for starters. That's a killer. Tons of other soft-kill drugs and pollutants. Eugenics everywhere. Been screaming about this for years. Good poem.

This excellent poem is right on! With all the crap officials put in our water it is only a matter of time. Very thought provoking writing, Ron.

GOD BLESS
Tony
