Nothing new in my love life. Just thought I would write a love poem/song as a change of pace.

Falling in Love

Like the water, on the edge,

of the precipice about to fall,

I'm teetering and tipping,

about to go head over heels,

and give you my absolute all.

Like the sun breaks through,

the angry clouds and blinding rain,

when tears and fears no longer fall,

I await the waters' burgeoning,

stream, swelling with love for all.

I'm swept up in the flood of life,

flowing downstream to you.

About to reach the precipice,

of falling in love, it's true .

And then, it is as if I, weightless,

my burdens shed in the blue,

I'm falling, falling, falling in love,

falling in love with you.

Ah, you can almost put these words to music and compose a symphony of love. Sweet as ever Ron, I love this sensitive side of you. Merry Christmas dear poet. xo

This would make an excellent love song, because it's just lovely.

For just a change of pace this is gorgeous...sensual and the water is very suggestive of falling in love. I enjoyed this tremendously. Can't wait to read more of your work - of any type.

Beautiful piece, Ron. I appreciate your readers' take...especially Marv and Odin——about becoming a full human being after thought and care and being capable of a deep connection. Does love (vs mere lust) take time and a certain level of maturity? "Swelling with love for all."

How sweet it is, and a lovely love poem it is. Doesn't it just feel right. A poem that could be sung.

Yeah, falling in love feels great, doesn't it! It was a long time ago for me.

This is indeed something different from you, Ron. I've never kniwn this side of you, but you are certainly entitled to fall in love when love calls.

In reading this, Ron, I couldn't help but muse over my belief that love is less object prone than a state of being, i.e., to be love with something or someone is to be in a state of love with that person, generating a love persona that envelops all one is sensory aware of. Loved this fine piece of metaphoric grace.
