Sometimes the ones we need, love or trust the most leave us in unexpected ways. The sooner we accept that they are gone and move on, the better off we'll be. Freddie's caregiver, Rose, started working for me shortly after his death.

Some have left without a word. Some have left so disturbed. Some have left, I have heard. Some have left, pleas ignored. Reasons for leaving are often complex. They can't be explained in simple terms. But when someone dies unexpectedly, those left behind heart and mind yearns. So, if you go away, go away with peace of mind. Know that I am okay with it, a level place, I still will find. Life comes and goes, in unexpected ways. We must learn to go with the flow, adapt in all our remaining days. Copyright 2019 © Ronald W. Flexibility is the name of the game, but when it comes to death, there is an absolute quality that makes it difficult to accept. "Life comes and goes in unexpected ways" indeed. So true.
