While the few who have suffered great loss, losing loved ones and many have suffered financially through losing jobs or business income, the rapid response in getting a viable vaccine for COVET-19 makes us all optimistic about the future and we should celebrate our good fortune for escaping a much more serious death and economic crisis, worldwide.

Quote from PureWow.com for the Holidays

Good Cheer

Be of good cheer,

this time of year.

For you never know when,

your fortune will turn.

You may be so cold.

You may be so hungry.

You may be pushed out,

into the street ugly.

Wherever you roam,

there's not any home,

only hatred and no retreat.

But keep a smile on your face,

treat others with good grace,

and someone will come to your rescue.

For we are all in this race,

stamp out the pandemic trace,

and give everyone the freedom to live.

Shelter, warmth, clean water and food.

A living wage for the common good.

Work for our pay and pay for our work.

So seek out your brother under the weather.

Raise him up and gather together.

For it could be ye behind that door,

so knock and free the devil once more.

Hallelujah, I shout!

It's time for good cheer.

Gather round and figure it out,

or the opposite may be near.

When we gather together in good cheer, the devil fears our joy
and has to flee. lol, Thank you for this light heart poem Ronald,
I always admired your intellectual side and also your tender side.
Have a beautiful Christmas, strong one . xo

You share the words of how one did survive. One world, we are all neighbors, in time of need and not. Live as if you have everything as your neighbor will see himself in your eyes and feel saft to believe in you. So well said Ron. I celebrate your LIght!

I'm reminded of something I read once about the quality of our suffering depending highly upon our attitude. As rough as this year has been for the world as a whole, it has been nowhere near as bad for me personally as 2014 was, and I survived. Knowing that has helped me to persevere.

A poignant reminder that one of us are exempt from life's worst-case scenarios. As Ebenezer Scrooge learned the hard way, "mankind is our business."

We can sure use a lot of good cheer and this poem certainly has that. Happy holidays during this subdued time of a deadly pandemic.

What a wonderful statement about the true spirit of Christmas and humanity.

One has to stop and contemplate the moment while reading this poem, as good cheer is hard to come by, given the present situation in multiple areas of the country's governance. Pandemic... overrun. Cybersecurity...overrun. Congress... overrun with gridlock. Et al. From another point of view, we need to hunker down and be of good cheer regardless. What is that saying: when you're at the bottom, there's only one way to go...up. Thanks for sharing.
