We all have angry, cloudy days sometimes.

Angry Clouds

Angry clouds consumed the sky,
did not let the sun shine through,
no matter how hard it would try.

They were angry, I know not why,
roiling and boiling as they flew by,
dark and dismal images so sly.

Without sunshine the day was so dark,
no color, no rainbow with its perfect arc,
the woods left so dismal, dark tree bark.

Cool winds of fate blew the clouds by,
their turmoil was evident from naked eye,
hoping sun would break through, bye and bye.

Waited for the clouds to bring the rain,
while the anger continued, no rain came,
it was as if the dark were a dry refrain.

This poem was composed of dreary gray,
when clouds obscured everything in every way,
and held back the sun; held it at bay.

But there's no denying a sunny day,
eventually it breaks through,
drives the graying dreary away.

Ah, I know what you were feeling that day Ron, I felt it too one day and two. I hunger for that sunshine like I hunger from manna from heaven.
I pray one day we will have more Vitamin D in our system, and more to smile about. Sending you friendship hugs and a prayer that you stay well, through it all. :)

I love it when the sky turns angry and passionate. It stirs the blood. However, I don't like it when the clouds within me turn angry for they bellow my discontent.

And as your poem's subtext suggests, one can't appreciate the light without having experienced the dark. Well penned, Ron.

So begins another grey day.
Yet, as you say, the sun breaks through, indeed, even on monochrome type days.
Indeed, one feels this poem. Yup, I'm feeling dreary. Every day in ole Blighty is blooming grey. :)

We are definately in dark days with world affairs such as they are and a world wide pandemic, but as the poem gives voice to the hope of sunny days to balance the gray. Well done Ronald.

We are grateful for the sunshine and blue skies because of the grey days and angry clouds..
Contrast gives us variety and shows us appreciation...

Good poem my friend. One that we all can relate to... Sometimes here in SoCal we have those angry clouds only hoping a flash of lightening will not set of a brush fire... Unless followed with rain.

Love the imagery. Was hoping to discover what lives there deep within the dark that inspired this poem. You leave it to reality. Tomorrow the sun will come wanting to leave this dark reality to simply disappear as if it holds no soul of it's own.
