A Real Troubadour

Sing for My Supper

Refrain

I'll sing for my supper,

with this song I wrote.

You can sing along with me,

if you know it by rote.

I have nothing to give you,

except this sweet song.

Nothing to give you,

but you can sing-along.

(Refrain)

I sing for your sweet wine,

I’m hungry for your love,

my song and your sweetness,

fits us both like a glove.

 (Refrain)

If you don't take my offer,

I will bid you adieu,

I'll sing somewhere else,

but my heart will miss you.

 (Refrain)

A sweet song, Ron. It flows very nicely. I wonder which melodic notes you have in mind to go with it. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,

Regis. 🌳🍁

Thankfully we don't have to actually hear you singing this little ditty, don't think my ears could take it, still fun this week...-e-

Your supper must have been a good one, judging by the lyric lightness of your poem this week.
