I have no children to sing to, but perhaps someone will put this to melody and mothers will sing it to their precious ones when winter comes.

Winter Lullaby

Hush, little one, no need to cry,

Mama's right here, so close by.

To hold you and feed you well,

throughout this cold winter spell.

To tuck you in tightly warm,

when storm threatens fright or harm.

sweetly dream of what's to come,

knowing you're safe with mom.

So little one, don't fuss and fret,

if howling wind rattles the pane.

When you awake to morning light,

the window will show frost's refrain.

Lovely, heartwarming, and seasonal as well. The sentiments expressed are apt for every moment of every day. Well done, Ron. And yes, I could probably sing this to my grandchildren but it would not be in person as two are in Toronto (I live on the west coast) and the other one is in Melbourne, Australia. Love and peace to you,

Regis. 🌲🌳🐘🦋🍁

I think this can be easily fit into a music theme. I could almost sing this out.

Very nicely written!

Beautifully measured and artfully rhymed. No doubt, it would be sweetly sung. A lovely lullaby indeed.
