A 3000 mile journey from the Gulf Coast to the upper Midwest and back in August with lost air conditioning.
I wrote this poem after a trip we took from Houston to North Central Wisconsin to be with my family for a week and back. The flower was drawn by my partner, Beh. It was one of the first scans that I made with an Apple Scan 1. I later colored on my computer with color capability. The butterfly was one of the stock images on the computer at that time. Images have become so much easier with AI.

This story is vividly expressive and beautifully crafted. The imagery is so strong that it feels as though I was right there on the drive myself.Though I'm not that brave, would have probably booked a flight.
