Poem Artwork

A man-child walks
Surrounded in mist
He patiently stalks
The night with a kiss
He catches the stars in his hands
Unaware
And binds them with strands
Of black angel hair
With a sad little smile
He tenderly dresses
The night like a child
In ebony tresses

He sings through the night
In strange liquid tones
The planets are queit
Beneath haunted songs
And the heavenly host
In dreaming they weep
For the beautiful ghost
That sang them to sleep.

This is a wistful, ethereal poem full of eloquent metaphors and I am glad I came upon it.

Life is precious and fragile, a gift of immeasurable value in spite of all the ugly things taking place in this world. Some matters are byond our ability to perceive, leaving us speechless and sad. But we are never alone, always welcome in the soothing warmth of the Light, even when life seems to have nothing to offer us anymore. This life is merely a fragmented stint of our long journey through space and time, at the end of which awaits our source and destiny, ready to blend us with its infinite Love.
