Mama Cat planned the party menu. Any kitten would love to attend this tea party!

Mama Cat and her kittens 

decided one day

to have a tea party

while the folks were away.

Mama boiled the water

and made catnip tea,

with sardines and tuna

(Cats love fish, you see).

 

They daintily nibbled

each morsel and crumb,

then washed every whisker

and when they were done,

Mama poured catnip tea

into each kitten's cup,

and they leaped on the table

and lapped it all up!

It's the cat's meow. I thought kittens were not allowed near the catnip.
