Maggie and her Mommy
Great Grammy Connie is not highest on Maggie's list. My daughter Sue is so dear, Maggie cries to go to her. Sue often babysits, while I don't see Maggie very often. It took her quite a while to accept me, but at least we are friends now, Maggie and I.
A shy, smiling angel happened my way,
Snuggled in her Grammy Sue’s arms.
She sneaked a little peek at me
As I counted her many charms;
Her button nose and sparkling eyes,
So cute I couldn’t miss ~
Then, suddenly, a sweet surprise ~
She blew me – Great Grammy – a kiss!
For some reason, that familiar song, "Maggie May," keeps running through my head as I read.
