Some dreams really get my attention!;-)lol

Poem Artwork

The wandering shifting sands
On which I make my journey
Granules of rock always there
Sparkling like timeless fools gold
Giving me the assurance of stability
So I sit back and let the Camel lead

Sun keeps me in trance-like state
My mind free to wander dreamily
Eyes half closed I see a mirage
Waves from sea, foaming towards me
Ah delightful thought, but unreal
Until a surge of salt water splashes over me

I'm sitting atop a horse drawn carriage
But instead of horses, dolphins are pulling it
Right through the ocean, waves and all
we are skimming over the top i'm ecstatic
Refreshed by the wet ocean breeze
I decide not to question my dream

We come quickly  upon a shore I'm in a sleigh
Huskies pulling it over the frozen tundra
Shaking with cold, but excited by the fast ride
An angel says to me "Keep looking up"
I see us off the ground heading towards the sun
The voice whispers " Now your time is done"

Trying to grasp a tree limb I see, I lose my breath
The angel whispers "You can't cheat death"

I love dreams, Eileen. I cannot say I've had one as vividly "imaginative" as this one of late but they seem very real so that when I awaken, I remember what people said and even scents still linger. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and peace to you,

Regis

What a dream! ooh the dolphins made me think of Atlantis. You being a water baby, it's your natural habitat. Carriage? Chariot? As in "swing low..."? Think, like all of us, you have a love/hate relationship with the thought of death. And those thoughts intensify as we grow older. Fear's there with you shaking in the cold. Who's not afraid of the unknown? Your soul is not satified with skimming the surface of truth. Can be a curse as well as a blessing. THat angel told you to "look up". To my interpretation that means "forgitaboutit". The art of living is work enough. Losing your breath was, well dying figuratively in your dream. Dreams are a way to work out those things we don't want to deal with on a concious level. I've been wrestling monsters lately. Wonder what's down there in that deep cravass? Just impressions, Eileen.

One very acute angle, or is his acuteness an angle.

When the fat bird sings...That is it...

Fun from our last breath of death...Dr doom loves it..

Maybe you have finally begun to have what the hippies and dippies of the hippy-dippy sixties (of which I was a part of) always said we would begin having flashbacks. Oh, that's right, you weren't there, not that old, oh, well, I guess it is just Eileen fantasing and living good. Gotta love it. That camel? Name wasn't Clyde, was it? Gotta love it2 Remember that crazy Ray Stephens song . . . I jumped on my camel named Clyde and did ride?

A wonderful ride, and with a strong faith, death is but a sweet promise, which after all can wait (a long, long time) to be fulfilled.

You sure get around, Tiger Lily - and it's always best to let that camel lead; but those Huskies, ya just gotta tell 'em who's in charge.

You and Jude should have a 'Dream Challenge.'

OK, that would have gotten my attention also, Eileen. I think that I would be walking around very cautiously for a few days after receiving that message. Beautiful images, I could feel myself with you until that very end when I decided to bail on the expidition.
Take care,
Sherry
