"...to our forefathers, we are still free!..." but we don't know for how long, as our politicians are squandering our freedom like it was a never ending waterfall.
I hope they read your poem and wonder.

And let the band play on! Great photo! Freedon isn't free and the fourth belongs to Americans, every where. All shapes colors and nationalities. Great poem!

Gorgeous graphic and poem, Eileen. Excellent rhyme and rhythm carry it all the way through. Happy 4th of July to you. I am still trying to get myself moved in, but we are having thunderstorms at the moment and today was a day of working to clean up the yard, so I see the storms as God's way of telling me it is time to relax...and who am I to argue????

I hope you have a lovely anniversary. The fireworks do bring on sadness to me as we lost five people in a fireworks factory this week.
