We stood there mourning in tears
His loss the fulfillment of our fears
He had every gift but length of years

So many try to reason why,and yet
We  all so easily forget, there is
A power stronger than was his

Lamentations, why, how, where
Used to cover our helpless despair
Faith and hope vanish in thin air

We forget the concept of eternity
Seeing death as truth of  finality
Demanding reasons to keep our sanity

It is right and proper for us to mourn
Just as we celebrate life when it's born
But,we shouldn't dwell in feeling forlorn

Remember, the body is all death claims
Our  saved soul, lives  in God's domain
Awaiting a new body in Jesus' name

The end of death came when Jesus died
All who believe in Him are by His side
Ready to wear the body of a new bride

+++++++

Note: Bride is a metaphor for Christ's church
Church meaning the Body of Christ, the mystery
of how we "in body" become like Christ

I will try and remember this, each time hubby takes another nose dive into the abyss of his malady, try to help him, and hold my own head up.

Touching write my friend! Very spiritual and inspiring, for we do have a greater home and a perfect body awaiting when our time comes...hard to imagine an eternal life with no worries, no heartaches, no death...just peace and joy! Inspiring indeed! Enjoyed!

The eternal flame stands alone, yet yields so much heavenly light. A spiritual write surpassing all others. So deeply spiritual as we each await our turn for our souls to join his in his heavenly kingdom....

Be safe,
Karen

Lovely poem Eileen. This life is short so I feel there must be more awaiting us. It is a very emotional time when someone close dies and faith like you have is a wonderful thing....Bless you...Joyce

So many people look at death as FINAL...closed down...no longer open. Shoot! That's the biggest farce I know. WE live here in a far shorter term of "LIFE" than when we cross over. Believe me...we are mortal and all the money, greed and toys stay right here when we leave. Thanks Sis!

Susan

Life and death - each an amazing birth and testament to God's abundant love.

Very sage, Edna, and hopefully there truly is something awaiting us, in another life, after earthly death arrives.
