Man, it would have been have been the perfect head on beautiful mug of ale, had he won. Let's hope the boy will someday win his own triple crown in life.

I have seen Kent Desormeaux with his son on TV. His love and compassion for the wee lad is tangible. Though lost at Belmont, he has most assuredly won the race of life.

It has always amazes me how little children born with horrible diseaeses or dibilitating disorders always carry the biggest smiles and are so tolerant of their conditions. They never seem to complain or show any bitterness. It tears at my heart each time I am exposed to one of them. May God bless them each and everyone. JMW

Well I almost miss reading of this event
I pray and hope he wins
It would mean so much to his son
A perfect gift as you wrote here in your poem

Just a half-hour to go 'til the gates open on possible Triple Crown winner. Exciting.
Very sad about his son, and for other children with the same disorder (Spencer Tracy's son was one, I've just heard).
Run swift and sure Big Brown!!!!

This is just about 5 miles away from me in Belmont N.Y.

I went over to our OTB betting parlor and placed 2 bets on our loving and Long Island horse named Big Brown. I played two exacta's with him on top of course. I hope he wins the triple crown but if by some misfortune he doesn't we will still love him.Denis of Cork and Icabad Crane are my picks to come in second. The triple will be those three horses in that order. Hooray for Big Brown.I hope by some miracle they can cure little Jacob. We will pray for him.

Oh, I hope his father has won!!! Did he? I'm sadden to know Jacob is deaf at birth and then slowly going blind. My heart goes out to him! May God bless him all his life!!!
