I want to climb a mountain
Jump off into thin air
I long to feel the motion
Let thermal winds curl my hair
Acting out childish fancies
Being a jet aeroplane
Feeling my heart do a dance
As it reaches heights insane
To fly someplace free as a bird
Soaring over verdant hills
Space singing music I never heard
Body alive full of thrills
Gliding with Eagles in flight
To watch their derring-do
Marveling at their unique sight
Wishing I had it too
To speed with them over the water
Watching them catch a fish
To be free as Neptunes daughter
This is my fondest wish
man has always held a fascination with the concept of soaring free like a bird -- wonder why? -- a masterfully expressed write from your creative pen -- peace and love to you -- JMW
Such a fun and warm writ. I like to do barnstorming piloting along with incline stalls and free falls. I understand the reasoning behind this piece totally.
I love this, Eileen! While on vacation, sitting in our campsite
I couldn't help but think of the birds as such beautiful souls
along with all the living creations in this extraordinary world.
I love the way the camera's eye has now taken flight like birds. From my belted seat I can drive a Shelby Cobra at Road America or peek over an eagle's shoulder as he takes a fish.
Soon, many will soar with jet packs on their backs. Love it.
Another very beautiful write that took wings on its own and all of us with it. Wonderful feeling it leaves long after being read. Well done. Love, Bonnie

ET, think very carefully what you wish, because one of those angels listening could granted it and you could wish no more.
I hope you become a eagle, I would love see your fly.
Very well done Eileen. Sounds like a beautifully experience. If only we could.

I'm with you in this "freedom" quest from time to time, I have to admit . . . However, since I don't think I will be able to soar with the eagle soon I am content sitting here at my desk and writing and fantasizing about it . . .
