My Grandson Scott took this photo in Arizona last week
I stood on my porch and watched the trees
as birds twittered and tweeted their melodies
at squirrels scampering down to grab acorns
quickly disappearing to stash them til morn
sun half hidden behind clouds, but blue skies
59 % weather cooler than usual see the Sierra's
couldn't see the snow caps, view wasn't clear
I look around my micro world liking what I see
I count my blessings and give thanks happily
Thanks for the giant pines that blow my mind
Thanks for these moments of peace that I find
Thanks that I can feel, hear, smell, taste, see
Thanks for surrounding me with such beauty
