Camped out on the Veldt
my dreamscape explodes
with animals in various modes
my concentration erodes
as the wild Tiger of tenacity
defends my mind from the
Leopard of literature who
wants to plagiarize my new
poem for its Elephantine
eloquence while the gallant
Gorilla wants to see it too, as
does the loquacious Lion Lord
of the jungle
A holy Hippopotamus lifts its
head out of the water and shouts
"Mirror the words" to a nearby
artistic Ape who loves to make
copies as a generous Giraffe
tells a galloping Gazelle to
"Get a copy as well"to be read
by all the maniacal Monkeys
as punishment for not doing
their homework yesterday,
by reading my articles, oops!
the screeching monkey chatter
woke me, I sure was glad ;-)!
"yabba dabba dabba said the monkey to the chimp", isn't that the way the old song goes? -- glad you were just dreaming there lady -- you are very creative Eileen -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael
Dear Eileen, What a dream. I tried to find out the meaning of this dream and I encountered only fatigue without meaning. You should sleep a little longer my friend, and don't let the dream conquer your mind. If it was only one animal, the meaning could be found. Anyway, the poem is lovely. Love Emile
